The DHS Hurricane 8-80 is a spin-oriented tacky rubber that combines the classic characteristics of Chinese rubber with a softer, more elastic No. 80 sponge for improved speed, control, and ease of use.

Unlike traditional Hurricane rubbers with their firm, demanding sponges, Hurricane 8-80 is available in 37° and 38° hardness, allowing the sponge to engage more easily with less effort. This provides a livelier response and better acceleration on medium-power strokes while maintaining the strong grip and spin potential expected from the Hurricane series. 

The tacky topsheet provides excellent control in the short game and strong spin generation on serves, pushes, opening loops, and topspin attacks. Combined with the elastic No. 80 sponge, it offers noticeably more dwell time and a more forgiving feel than traditional hard Chinese rubbers.

Hurricane 8-80 is particularly well suited for backhand use, where its softer sponge makes quick topspin, flicks, blocks, and counter-attacks easier to execute. DHS's own catalog specifically positions the 8-80 as a backhand rubber. Key Features
